Jim Persky

I  approach my ceramic work more as a craftsman than an artist. I'm  inspired by traditional forms and functional pottery. That said, in the  early 1980's I began to explore crystalline glazes and once again find  myself back experimenting with this challenging, sometimes  frustrating,  but more often very rewarding method of glazing. Every firing is an  adventure and I'm always excited to open the kiln and see what discovery  awaits inside.
