Bernadette Straub

  

Bernadette received her AA from Mendocino College and her BA in Art from Sonoma State University. She studied painting with Robert Comings, ceramics with Gary Medina, and Rod Guyer, and drawing with Kay Armstrong.

She worked with Rolf Kriken of Nordhammer Foundry in Kelsyville to produce her bronzes. Bernadette was born in Syracuse, New York, and was raised there, Mexico and Maryland. From  Maryland she moved to California in her early twenties. 

She  is inspired in part by codes, Dada, geography, history, language,  literature, music, mythology, nature, puzzles, Surrealism and symbolism.
