Alberto Lozano ruvalcaba

I find beauty in the impulsive, creative, and destructive tendencies of Mother Nature. My process of building pottery forms is directly inspired by the movement exhibited by growing trees and eroding landscapes. I use the inherent spontaneous variations of texture and color present in atmospheric kiln firings to highlight these qualities in my work. My goal is to produce beautiful and functional vessels that appear to be born rather than made.
